The Sundowner, organised by the Hamilton & District Car Club, was held on 15 March. It was round 1 of the Robson Cup Rallye Series.
The winners were Alan Upton and Mark Laidlay. Second were Ian Johnson and Andrew Kriesl with Russell & Ian McKenzie third. The first grade 4 crew were Kent Kretchmer and Dale Cagney.
