The TCV, sponsored by Car-Prep and organised by the HSCCV, was an interclub trial held on 1 November. The director was Lynn Cuttle, assisted by Keith Cuttle and Sue McCready.
The winners were Keith Lewis and Julian Wain and second were Trevor and Kimberley Woods, both crews in Datsun 1600s. Third were Peter Crawley and Vaughan Haskett in a Datsun 280Z. Fourth was the only Holden in the event, a Gemini crewed by Craig Dawson and Brian Tiedemann.
