The Challenge of Clubs, organised by the Nissan Car Club of Australia, was held on 31 October. Typically the Challenge of Clubs included a rally, a motorkhana and maybe other motorsport components and crews competed towards scoring points for their club.
For 1998, we have only the results of the Challenge of Clubs Trial. In the trial, competitors were from the following clubs: NCCA, BLCC, FFCC, MSCC, CCRMIT, VMCI, MMALCC & CCC.
The winners of the trial were Ian and Roslyn Martin from NCCA in a Subaru WRX. Second and third were BLCC crews – Phillip Messer/Tim Erwin in a Lancer GSR and Chris Hall/Rob Stevenson in a Datsun Stanza.
