Neal Bates has the measure of Possum Bourne on the Rally of Melbourne. With co-drover, Coral Taylor, Bates took his WRC Corolla to an 18 second win on the first heat and 20 seconds on the second heat. Cody Crocker and Greg Foletta took third place on both heats in their Group N Subaru.

Spencer Lowndes with co-driver Claire Parker in their Lancer took fifth and first VRC on both heats, followed in the VRC scoring by Graham Alexander and David Stewart in their Galant VR4, taking and excellent sixth outright on Heat 2.
