1999 Ballarat Begonia Rally

The Ballarat Begonia Rally, organised by the Ballarat Light Car Club an directed by Joe Brick and Matt Storer, was held on September 25.

Round 4 Victorian Rally Championship

After three rounds of the VRC, the points lead was shared by Sam Vaughan and Darren Windus, both in Subarus. But it was the Lancer of Scott Pedder and Paul Humm that took a convincing win in the Begonia by almost a minute, to jump into the championship lead.

In the 2WD Championship, Mark Miller (Escort), with new co-driver Stephen Dunbar, took the win to move into equal points with second placed Semmens and Leoncini (Corolla).

First timer, Edward Richards, has an interesting story in the September issue of Unicar.
