The Monash Introductory, sponsored by Car-Prep and organised by the Monash Sporting Car Club, was held on 16 October. The Clerk of Course was Stephen Dunbar.
“Introductory” Trials were typically run by clubs principally for newer and novice competitors.
In a close result, three crews were equal first on 20 points and four crews equal second on 21 points. The three winning crews were: David Carra and Paul Hickey (Datsun 1600), John and Geoff Patterson (Datsun 180B) and Dean Henthorn and Darryl Fiddes (Mitsubishi Lancer).Â
