The ARC event saw honours shared between Cody Crocker and Dale Moscatt in their Subaru Impreza and Simon and Sue Evans in the Toyota Corolla Sportivo. Evans took the first heat by 6 seconds with Crocker fighting back to take the second heat by 5 seconds to win the round with the bonus point.
Rally of Melbourne constituted two separate VRC rounds and both were won by Justin Dowel and Matt Lee in their Lancer to give them an unbeatable lead in the championship with one round to go. Their closest rivals, Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis in a Subaru, finished a close second in the first heat but failed to finish the second heat, putting paid to their title hopes. Brian Semmens and David Leoncino brought the Nissan 200SX home first 2WD in both heats (7th and 5th outright) to secure that title with one round remaining,
