The ARC event saw a clean sweep by locals Simon and Sue Evans in their Toyota Corolla Sportivo, winning both heats. Their closest challengers were Michael Guest and David Green in their Ford Fiesta S2000 and finished just 11 seconds behind Evans on Heat 2 after having difficulties on Heat 1.
Heat 1 of the event constituted Round 5 of the VRC and was won by Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis in their Subaru Impreza WRX with Paul Battern and Craig Jones (not VRC eligible) second in a similar Subaru. Justin Dowel and Matt Lee were third to just maintain their effective lead over Fawcett/Ellis in the championship, who notionally had to drop their wort result, their fifth in the Akademos. Dowel and Lee beat Fawcett and Ellis by 14 seconds on Heat 2 (also placing fifth in the ARC heat), which constituted Round 6 of the VRC. Dowel/Lee took an effective 6 point lead into the final VRC round.
