The Murrundindi Magic, organised by the Historic Rally Association, was held on October 18. With the cancellation of both the Bega Valley Rally and Rally Melbourne, the HRA, and more specifically, Stuart Lister, stepped up to organise a replacement event. The event was based around the town of Marysville and was, in some ways, a predecessor of the Marysville Stages. This was a blind rally, conducted entirely in daylight.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 4
Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis all but confirmed their championship with a convincing win in their Subaru Impreza WRX. They finished more than 2 minutes ahead of Craig and Carrie Morris in a Lancer. Their closest rivals, Jesse and Samantha Robison, broke a diff on SS6 while lying second. just 5 seconds adrift.
