The Akademos was conducted by the Melbourne University Car Club and was held on October 14. The event was pace noted with recce on the Saturday. The Director was Peter Otzen.
Victorian Rally Championship Round 5
The 2012 Akademos was won by Will Orders and Lauren Gray in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V. They won Heat 1 but championship leaders Stephen and Glen Raymond won Heat 2 and placed second overall in their Toyota Corolla. With Orders and Gray not eligible for VRC points, the Raymonds picked up maximum VRC points to secure the state title.
