2016 Begonia Rally

The Begonia Rally, organised by the Ballarat Light Car Club, was held on November 13.

Victorian Rally Championship Round 5

With the driver’s championship wrapped up by Darren Windus and Joe Brkic all but assured of the co-driver’s title, the focus on the Begonia was the three-way tussle for the 2WD Championship between Schey/Middleton, Conway/Cole and Grant Walker (who had two different co-drivers).
The event was interrupted by foul weather and only Heat 1 was run. Andrew Pannam and Tim Batten emerged as outright winners in their Subaru Impreza WRC STi. Fifth outright and third 2WD gave Mike Conway and Jenny Cole the 2WD Championship.
