2017 George Derrick Pyrenees Rush

The 2017 George Derrick Pyrenees Rush was organised by the Car Club of RMIT and was held on August 27 in wet conditions. It was sponsored by Leechs Mitsubishi. Conducted around Avoca, the event was directed by James Elliott. It was pace noted with recce available on the Saturday.

Victorian Rally Championship Round 3

The winners were Glenn Raymond and Kate Catford in their Subaru Impreza WRC STi, with wins in both heats.

Route

The event was conducted over four special stages around Avoca, repeated morning and afternoon with a midday service in Amphitheatre. SS1 and SS5 were to the east of Avoca with SS2 and SS6 to the south-west of Avoca. SS3 and SS7 were over the Pyrenees Range while SS4 and SS8 were cancelled due to wet weather, but were to include a final run through the Mount Avoca Vineyard.
