The Rally of the Bay was organised by the North Shore Sporting Car Club and was conducted on August 11th in the forests around Batemans Bay. It was a round of both the NSW Rally Championship and the Victorian Rally Championship. The event was pace noted with recce available for the three weeks prior to the event.
The overall winners were Richie Dalton and Dale Moscatt in a Skoda Fabia R5.
The VRC round was conducted as two heats and was won by Ivan Regester and Paul Humm in a Subaru Impreza. It was a narrow victory over Ben and Cathy Hayes in a similar car, just 3 seconds! And each of them took a heat win.
