2019 Mitta Mountain Rally

The 2019 Border Oils & Batteries Mitta Mountain Rally was held on March 2nd and was organised by the North Eastern Car Club in conjunction with the Albury Wodonga and District Car Club.

The event was Round 1 of the Victorian Rally Championship and Round 1 of the NSW Rally Championship .

The event was won by Glen Raymond and Kate Catford in a Lancer Evo IX, who also won the NSW Championship round. Second place was Tristan Kent and Robert Males in a similar Lancer who won both heats of the VRC round.

Route

The event was conducted over 5 special stages around the base town of Mitta Mitta. The first two stages were either side of the Omeo Highway to the south followed by two stages to the north. These four stages constituted Heat 1 of the VRC round. Stage 5 was the monster 55.7 km stage and was the entire VRC Heat 2.
