The European Affair Ada River Rally was held on March 26th and was organised by the Western District Car Club.

The event was conducted in the forests to the east of Powelltown. It was a blind rally (no recce, no pace notes).
Adrian Stafford and Kain Manning emerged clear victors in the VRC event winning both heats in their Subaru. They won Heat 1 by 45 seconds from Queenslanders, Richard Galley and John Andreatidis in an Evo 8 with Danny Traverso and Jason Page third, and taking second VRC points, also in an Evo 8, but failed to finish Heat 2. Heat 2 saw Luke Sytema and Tracey Dewhurst climb to second place in the Escort, 22 second behind Stratford. The Queenslanders were third while Warren Lee and David Lethlean took third VRC points in their Evo 9. Round 1 winners, Jamie and Brad Luff, were off the pace, placing 10th on Heat 1 and failed to finish Heat 2.
Peter and Chris Schey were best 2WD on Heat 1 with Sytema and Dewhurst best on Heat 2, both in Escorts. The Scheys failed to finish Heat 2. Kevin Millard and Andrew Daniell (Datsun 1600) placed 1st Clubman in Heat 1 and second Clubman on Heat 2, which was won by Nick Seymour and Gordon Grant (Fiesta). Thomas West and Stephen Dunbar (Excel) were again best Novices on both heats.
James and Mark Leoncini were winners of the VCRS event in the Corolla.
