The Nissan Nightmoves, organised by the Nissan Car Club of Australia, was held on 18 June. It was Round 4 of the Victorian Club Rally Series and sponsored by Fast Track Towing and Transport, Lock and Load and Windscreen Deals. The Nightmoves was again directed by Clerk of Course Kim O’Halloran with Aidan O’Halloran as Assistant Clerk of Course and Trevor Woods as Event Secretary.
Despite rain on most days in the preceding two weeks, the day of event saw some sun and no rain. This created excellent rallying conditions for the Heathcote forests – no dust! Most of the roads were in excellent condition although drivers had to watch for slippery patches and a little standing water. All stages but one were in the forests north-east of Heathcote with the first stage after the service break at the Heathcote Oval being a 12km stint in One Eye, immediately west of Heathcote.
