2022 Valley Stages

The Japsport Special Vehicles Valley Stages, organised by the Nissan Car Club of Australia, was held on 24 September.

The VRC event was pace noted with recce on the Saturday/ It was won by Adrian Stratford and Kain Manning in their Subaru Impreza WRX, also winning both heats. Tim and Leonie Clark finished second overall ahead of Glen Raymond and Kate Catford in the normally aspirated Subaru.

Kevin Millard with Patrick Hughes brough his Datsun 1600 home first 2WD and first Clubman to take out the VRC Clubman drivers award. Luke Sytema and Tracey Dewhurst placed second and first 2WD on the two heats to secure the VRC 2WD Championship. Lucas Draper, with Isaac Draper, was first Novice and took the VRC Novice award for 2022.

The VCRS event was won by Steve Porter and Tony Robinson in a Mazda RX7.

Route

The VRC component of the event was conducted over 11 stages. Heat 1 comprised a new stage at the Yarra Glen Racecourse followed by 5 stages (Mount Slide then 4 stages in the Murrindindi Forest). Those 5 stages were repeated as Heat 2.

The VCRS event was conducted over 10 stages.
