2023 Valley Stages

The Ballarat Supatilt Valley Stages, organised by the Nissan Car Club of Australia, was held on 24 September.

Victorian Rally Championship Round 4
Victorian Club Rally Series Round 5

The VRC event was pace-noted with recce available within 3 weeks prior to the event.

The winners were Troy Dowel and Bernie Webb in a new M-Sport built Ford Fiesta. However, they were not eligible for VRC points. Full VRC points went to second placed Justin Dowel (Troy’s father) and Tracey Dewhurst in a Mitsubishi Mirage, giving them the championship by a narrow margin. Brendan Reeves lead the championship coming into the final round and took a safe third VRC on Heat 1 but electrical problems slowed them on Heat 2, where they only placed 8th and 7th VRC.

James and Mark Leoncini were second 2WD but it was not enough to deny Brendo the 2WD championship, although Mark took the 2WD co-drivers title. Nick Seymour and Gordon Grant placed twelve overall to take the Clubman title. Troy Dawson and Amanda Mills took the VRC Novice award with a win on Heat 1, some consolation for a blown engine on Heat 2.

The VCRS event was won by Rowan Quill and Ari Paterson in a Nissan 180SX.
