Newly crowned national champions, Ed Ordynski and Mark Nelson, completed the year with a commanding win in the final ARC round at Coffs Harbour. They finished more than 3 minutes clear of second placed Les Walkden and Ron Coenen, both in Galant VR4s. The podium was a great result for the Tasmanians. Just one second behind Walken was the Datsun 280Z if Wayne Hoy and Andrew Bennett.
