The Mt Alexander Trial, organised by the Bendigo Car Club, was held on 16 May. It was round 2 of the Victorian Club Rally Series.
The winners were Nick & Peter Whiteley from NCCA in a Datsun 180B, just over a minute ahead of Gavin Edwards and Michelle Birchall, also from NCCA and first in grade 3, in a Datsun 240Z. Third were Andrew Taylor and Ben Courtney (CCC) in a Maxda RX7. The best grade 4 driver was Terry Trewern in a Corolla TE25, 5th outright.
