The 40th George Derrick, organised by the CCRMIT, was held on 12 September. It was round four of the VCRS. The director was Bernard Miron and it was held in the Heyfield area.
The winners were Brian Semmens and Dan Parry in a Corolla, 61 seconds ahead of Neil and Chris Schey in a Commodore. Darren Crozier and Peter Mignot were third in a Gemini. The first grade 4 crew were Jeff Cameron and Peter Finger in a Datsun Stanza, also 6th outright.
