The Rally de Dames, organised by the Renault Car Club of Victoria, was held in late 1974. We don’t have the exact date – if you know it, we’d appreciate you letting us know. The event was notable in that drivers had to be female.
The December edition of The Victorian Renault magazine tells the story of the event and includes results. It’s available here.
The winners were Caroline Cooke and Phil Rainer in a Cortina. They were followed by Suzi Quaife and Lou Wuillimen in a Renault R10, Ber & John Carpenter in a Holden EH with Ro Nixon & John Birrell in a Renault 750 and B & N Dykes in a Renault 16TS equal 4th.
