The Renault Car Club of Victoria

The Renault Car Club of Victoria was founded on June the 29th, 1953 by an enthusiastic band of Renault 750 (4CV) owners who arranged a group drive to Point Leo. From this event the Renault Car Club of Victoria was born. The club’s first year membership was 63, and the club has steadily grown over the years, with memberships fluctuating to a current membership of around 250 (2026).

The club has a long history many motor sport disciplines. They have run motorkhanas, trials, rallies, autocrosses, observed section trials and economy runs. They also join with other car clubs in similar events such as the Victorian Hillclimb Championship, Victorian Motorkhana Championship and the Interclub Hillclimb Championship at Rob Roy

The club is affiliated with both Motorsport Australia (the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) and the AOMC (Association of Motor Clubs).

The club produces a magazine ‘The Victorian Renault’ for its members. It contains a wide range of articles related to both the Club and the wider Renault world. See below for editions we have available.
