The All Night Trial was organised by the Hamilton and District Car Club and was conducted on June 3.
1961 VTC Round 2 – HDCC All Night Trial
From the report in Australian Motor Sport, this was an arduous event with tricky navigation and a lot of thick fog. It ran from Hamilton through the Grampians then north of Stawell to a halfway break at Navarre, returning to Hamilton via Landsborough, Great Western and Dunkeld.
The event was convincingly won by Les Paige in a Peugeot. Despite the difficulty of the navigation, navigators’ names are not mentioned in the report!
