The Longest Night, organised by the HRA, was held on 19 June. This event was an all-night navigational tour directed by Phil Nicholas. It appears to have started and finished at the Westmeadows tavern, with stops along the way at Carlsruhe and Wendouree.
Principal sponsor was Porters Paints and the results contain an interesting history of the business. The results also include an explanation of the more difficult to find via points.
The winners were Rob and Pam Knight who also won the event in 1998. Equal second were Graham Wallis / Peter Cusworth and Bruce Wilson / Graeme Vaux.
