Highlights
A reasonable year for Victorian rallying with one VRC round cancelled, but an otherwise successful series with six rounds, including Bega and two rounds in conjunction with Rally of Melbourne. The Victorian Rally Championship was won for the second year in a row by Justin Dowell and Matt Lee in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6.5.
The Victorian Club Rally Series also ran with six rounds and was won by Wayne and Kim Stewart in a Subaru. Pakenham Auto Club took out the club award.
Australian Rally Championship
The Victoria round of the Australian Rally Championship was Rally of Melbourne. Victorians dominated with Scott Pedder (with Glen Weston) winning the first heat and Simon and Sue Evans the second heat to secure their first Australian title.
