Our first records of the Ford Four Car Club conducting a trial was the 1975 Spring 200 Trial but there may have been editions in earlier years for which we do not have any records. It is certainly the club’s longest running event.
By the end of the 1970s the Spring 200 was regularly part of the Combine 6 Series and in the mid 1980s was a round of the Victorian Clubman Championship. With the demise of that series, it ran as a club event for a couple of years until is became a round of the Group 5 Series. It migrated to the Victorian Club Rally Series in 1992 where it was a regular round until its last edition in 2009, after which it morphed into the Marysville Stages. It was to be resurrected as a standalone event in 2013 – 2015m but 2016 but was cancelled. It was a sub-event of the Marysville Stages in 2017.
