1999 William Harvey Trial

The William Harvey, organised by the Peugeot Car Club of Victoria, was held on 2 October. The Clerk of Course was Mark Laidlay, assisted by Alan Upton and Melissa Laidlay. The event was conducted in the forests near Heathcote.

The event was a round of three separate series: the Robson Cup Rallye Series, the Victorian Trials Series and the HRA Rally Championship. All crews qualified for Robson Cup points but only those meeting specific criteria qualified for the others. The award for the VTS winner was the Jim Maude Memorial Trophy.

Overall and RCRS winners were Stephen Richards and David Johns in a Ford Escort. Second and only 4 seconds in arrears were Graham Wallis and Phil Nicholas in a Peugeot 404, with John Rawson and Keith Salmon 6 minutes further back in third in a Datsun Stanza.

The both the Victorian Trials Series and the HRA Rally Championship, the placings were Wallis/Nicholas first, Rick Hartmann and Rob Pickthall second in a Datsun 1600 and Kim Harper and Stephen Dunbar third in a Ford Escort.
