Highlights

A few challenges this year for Victorian rallying with the final round of the VRC cancelled, but still six rounds including Bega and the shared ARC round. The Victorian Rally Championship was won by Stephen and Glen Raymond is a Corolla.

The Victorian Club Rally Series drivers award was won by Luke Sytema in an Escort. The co-drivers award wen to Leigh Garrioch and the club award to the Nissan Car Club.

The third Classic Outback Trial was organised from Victoria but ran through western NSW, into SA and briefly into Victoria. It was won by Matt Swan and Paul Franklin in a Commodore.

The 30th anniversary of the passing of Jim Maude needed to be marked by the running of of the 2012 Jim Maude Memorial Experts Trial under the directorship of Stuart Lister who declared this to be the last event he would direct!

Australian Rally Championship

The Victorian round of the Australian Rally Championship was Rally Victoria. Victorian Eli Evans with Glen Weston won the event and the national title in a Honda Jazz.

VRC events were the Begonia. Derrick, East Gippsland Stages, Bega Valley, Akademos and Rally Victoria.

Outright Champions; Stephen Raymond / Glen Raymond, Toyota Corolla

2WD Champions: Brian Semmens / Dan Parry, Nissan 200ZX

Clubman Award: Viv Dilkes-Frayne, Hyundai Excel
Co-driver: Simon Barton-Ancliffe (with Andrew Thomson)

Novice Award: Robert King / Ceijae King, Subaru Impreza
