The William Harvey Memorial Trial was one of the earliest events conducted by he Peugeot Car Club of Victoria. Our earliest records are from 1963.

The William Harvey became of regular round of the Combine 6 Series in the late 1970s and into the 1980s. It then became a regular round of the revived Victorian Trials Championship/Series as well as the Western Region Trial Series. and late the Robson Cup. The last two editions were renamed the Rally of Ararat.
