Highlights
After the cancellation of the Alpine, the Victorian Rally Championship comprised only four rounds and was won by Graeme Wise in his Mitsubishi Lancer. The champion co-driver was Greg Foletta, who partnered Cody Crocker.Â
The Victorian Club Rally Series comprised six rounds and was won by Keith Cuttle in a Commodore, with David Leoncini (navigating for Brian Semmens) taking out the navigators award. The Ford Four Car Club took out the club award.
This was the last year of the Victorian Trial Series.
1995 saw the running of the first Round Australia trial for 16 years, the Mobil 1 Reliability Trial. The event was held in June and early July and passed through Victoria on the third and fourth days.
Australian Rally Championship
Victoria’s full round of the Australian Rally Championship was the Rally of Melbourne. Winners were Neal Bates and Coral Taylor in their Toyota Celica GT-Four, who went on to win the national title for their third time.
