Highlights
It was a successful year for rallying in Victoria with a full calendar of events for the VRC and VCRS, as well as the Pedders Eureka Rush ARC round out of Ballarat.
The Victorian Rally Championship was won by Arron Windus and Daniel Brkic, mostly in a Subaru Impreza WRX.
The Victorian Club Rally Series ran over six round, three dual status with the VRC. Series winners were Cody Richards and Matthew Dillon in a Ford Escort. The club award went to the HRA.
Alpine Rally of East Gippsland was conducted at the end of the year and was severely impacted by weather, initially fires and then rain. It was a first Alpine win for Nathan Quinn and Ray Winwood-Smith in the RX2.
Australian Rally Championship
Victoria’s round of the Australian Rally Championship was the Pedders Eureka Rush. It was won by Harry Bates and John McCarthy in a Yaris AP4. They went on to take their first national title.
