Highlights
The Victorian Rally Championship was narrowly won by Scott Pedder and Paul Humm in a Lancer Evo 1.
The Victorian Club Rally Series was won by Andrew Hollole and Stephen Dunbar in a Holden Commodore. Nissan Car Club won the club award.
The season was marred by the death of Steven Poore in a fatal accident on the first round of the VCRS, the Bog-a-Duck Trial, which was then abandoned.
Australian Rally Championship
Victoria’s round of the Australian Rally Championship was again the Rally of Melbourne. It saw the first ARC heat win for Cody Crocker in his Group N Subaru. This followed the demise of the favourites, Bates who rolled the Corolla on Mt Slide and Bourne, who slipped off the road on Ben Cairn. Bates recovered to win Heat 2 with Crocker third. Ordynski placed second on both heats in his Lancer.
